Elden Ring Nightreign might be a major revamp of FromSofware’s soulslike multiplayer experience, but it’s actually a careful evolution of a system the studio has been refining for years. From Demon’s Souls to Bloodborne, the developer has always pushed the envelope with co-op experiences; the iconic summoning and messaging systems still feel like a novel concept all these years later. That said, constantly having to rejoin friends after defeating bosses or dying quickly becomes frustrating. One modder remedied that issue in Elden Ring, and now they’ve done it again for Dark Souls 3.
