AMD Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT deserve “time in spotlight” says team red

After having a modest official showing at CES 2025, AMD has said that it wants to give its upcoming RX 9070 gaming GPUs their time to shine and not get "washed under" the information overload of the world's biggest tech trade show. The GPUs were unveiled in Las Vegas at AMD’s press conference but were shown very little fanfare and the company revealed very few details about the new cards.

Meanwhile, even though AMD hasn't announced a release date for its next-generation graphics cards, we've already spotted RX 9070 XT cards on sale in some stores. We’ve also seen 9070 XT benchmark leaks and spotted plenty of 9070 XT cards on the CES show floor, but all without further official word from AMD. If the mid-ranged cards manage to get the pricing down right, they could quickly rise through the ranks of the best graphics cards, but AMD is playing its cards close to its chest so far.
